Sophie Banister is a singer, comedian, writer and facilitator. In recent times, Sophie is known for her cabarets and musical comedy, which she has performed in the London comedy circuit and in festivals across her home country, Australia. She has a background producing her own variety shows, and entertaining in care homes, hospitals and in educational and disability-led settings. Bringing her decade of experience in creating tailored performance and interactive, creative sessions for participants, Sophie is passionate about building community and connection through music, comedy and the arts. 

Sessions:

30 Minutes - Performance Only

Sophie performs a variety of songs and genres, including resident request, and accompanies herself on guitar. Her quirky style and creativity would leave residents in awe.

60 or 90 Minutes - Performance and Musical Activities

Sophie leads interactive sessions with musical games, music facilitation activities and opportunities to learn melodies and play simple instruments. This session combines both performance and interactive elements, blending live music with opportunities for residents to join-in, sing along, or try something new.
